Chennai dominated the game for most parts except the the powerplay and the last three overs of the first innings. This was also the biggest win ever in Champions League T20 history ever, which highlights the the way Chennai dominated in the match. While, they remain unbeaten in the tournament, Brisbane are still without a win.

MS Dhoni finishes it off with Chennai with a six! Dhoni smashes a bounadary and a six to take Chennai to an eight-wicket win.
Chennai Super Kings 125/2 | Overs 15 | Hussey 45* Dhoni 3*
The crowd has come alive as local boy Dhoni walks out to bat. Michael Hussey brings up his half-century with a boundary off the first ball. With Hussey and Dhoni at the crease, the fielders have little margin for error. Chennai need 13 to win from 24 balls.

Even in the 14th over Hussey is looking fresh as the first over, still running hard for singles and trying to convert ones into twos. However, Raina is caught in front of the stumps. However, the wicket comes a little too late for Brisbane. Chennai now need 22 to win from 30 balls

Hussey brings up Chennai’s 100 with a pull towards deep mid-wicket. They brought up their second 50 in 32 balls. The running between the two players is creating panic on the fielding side. Chennai need 27 runs to win 42 balls.

Both the batsmen are looking good at the crease. They are playing to all parts of the ground to get easy singles. Raina ends the over with a huge six. Chennai now need 40 runs to win from 48 balls to win their third consecutive match of the tournament.

Poor fielding isn’t helping Brisban’e cause, especially with dew also playing a part. Suresh Raina is looking edgy. He is lucky to survive after two edges fall in safe regions

Murali Vijay perishes! Trying to pull a short-pitched delivery, Vijay mistimes the shot to fine-leg. He was looking good during his stay at the crease.

Both the openers are rotating the strike easily and are cruising along well. They have minimised risks and look at ease as Hauritz fails to grip the ball well.

Brisbane bowlers look helpless as Murali Vijay looks at ease while he moves out of the crease to attack. Quick running between the wickets by Hussey results in misfields by the Brisbane players.

The dew has started to trouble the bowlers as they are finding it tough to grip the ball. Murali Vijay dances down the track to smash a full-toss beyond the deep mid-wicket boundary for a six. He follows it up with another six.

Vijay looks at ease as he flicks the second delivery off the over for a boundary. Daniel Christian comes back well to bowl a tight line. He teases Michael Hussey with outswing delivery from the middle-stump.

Gannon kept the line tight and didn’t give room to the batsmen to free their arms. The highlight of the over was a well-bowled bouncer that hit Murali Vijay’s over. Just two runs from the over.

Hussey is quick between the wickets as the two batsmen avoid to play risky shots. Murali Vijay is looking good with his wristy flicks.

Murali Vijay continues to struggle in the first four deliveries. However, he does well to put away a delivery on leg stump for a boundary with some good use of wrists. He slams another boundary off the next ball.

The over started off with two wides. The openers are not taking too many risks. But as always, they are quick between the wickets.

Michael Hussey gets Chennai off the mark with a slash between cover and point fielder. It was in the air, but perfectly placed. Murali Vijay also scores his first run of this year’s CLT20.
Ben Cutting and James Hartley did a fine job to take Brisbane Heat to a respectable total after they were tottering at 66 for six at one stage. The batsmen were struggling against the Chennai spinners who gave away just 37 runs from their 11 overs and bagged four wickets.

Cutting starts off the over with yet another six. He follows it up with another over extra cover boundary off the next ball. Brisbane have really got their innings moving in the last three overs. The two put on the highest seventh wicket partnership in CLT20 history. Brisbane score 21 runs off the last over.

Jason Holder is brought back into the attack. Ben Cutting lets loose as he smashes his thrid six. Hartley too joins the act with a cover-drive for a boundary.

Jason Holder drops a catch! Ben Cutting, in a bid to end the boundary drought slogs a delivery off Dwayne Bravo, but it fails to get the distance. Holder makes a brilliant effort at long off, but drops the catch. However, Cutting gets hold of the next one and sends it beyond the deep mid-wicket boundary. He follows it up with another six off the fifth ball to bring up Brisbane’s 100.

Both the batsmen look settled at the crease now. They need to start accelerating. They are still dealing in singles and doubles. Eight runs scored off the over.

Suresh Raina is brought in for his third over. Chennai Super Kings are getting through their overs quickly. Suresh Raina keeps it flat. Dhoni missed a tough run-out chance of the fifth delivery. Just two runs off the over.

Dew has started to set in. Jadeja is finding it tough to grip the ball and making it easier for batsmen to face him. However, boundaries have not come for long and they are still dealing in singles.

With Dwayne Bravo coming into the attack, Brisbane batsmen are looking more comfortable at the crease being able to middle the ball. However, they are still finding it difficult to get runs. Manage just four runs from the over.

Sabburg’s misery against spin ends as he edges Raina’s delivery to the stumps. Brisbane don’t seem to be in a position to bat out the 20 overs.

Brisbane are playing out too many dot deliveries to their liking. Six in the over. It is not looking good for the Australian side.

After Jadeja and Ashwin, it is Raina’s turn to trouble the Brisbane batsmen with his off-breaks. Even juicy full-tosses are not put away. They are looking mediocre with their batting Just four singles from the over.

Brisbane batsmen continue to struggle while playing spin. Ashwin foxes Chris Lynn who fails to read a doosra and ends up edging to Ravindra Jadeja stationed at short third man.

And MS Dhoni has dropped a catch! Who would’ve thought he would ever make a mistake! Ashwin continues and his variation keeps the batsmen from scoring freely. Just one run from the over.

Sir Ravindra Jadeja comes in and strikes twice! First Christian looks to take him apart in the very first ball and is caught by Michael Hussey in the deep. Jadeja then sends back new man Joe Burns with a ball from around the wicket. It was angled into the right hander and the length was inviting Burns to go for a cut. He chased and the edge carried to the slip fielder

Lynn is looking fine nick here. A good start by Ravichandran Ashwin ends with Lynn coming down the track and playing an inside out shot through covers. 50 comes up for Brisbane at the end of the powerplay overs.

Lynn flatbats the ball for a six straight back off Jason Holder. Only Lynn knows how he did that to a ball that was close to 140 kmph. He then followed it up with a boundary behind square leg. 12 runs come from the over.

Hopes gets two fours in from two balls but is dismissed off the fourth delivery! Another boundary comes off the next ball. 12 runs and a wicket off it.

Albie Morkel starts off from the other end. Lynn charges down the wicket in the fourth ball and clears the infield to send the ball to the long on boundary. Seven runs from the over.

Skipper James Hopes starts with a boundary. A length delivery from Mohit Sharma that is dispatched to the boundary. Mohit does well while bowling to Michael and picks up his wicket! The over ends with five runs and wicket. Chennai are on a roll already!
