A destructive fire broke out in the ground of Holton-le-Clay cricket club which ravaged the cricket pavilion. Holton-le-Clay is a village in the district of Lincolnshire, England. Holton-le-Clay cricket club is located at Tetney Lane, DN36 5AS Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, United Kingdom. The fire broke out at 7.30pm at the Club’s ground. The good part was that no one was hurt during the fire. A lot of damage to the pavilion was caused because of the heat and smoke generated during the fire. Fire brigade was called but they couldn’t do much as damage that was already done. Investigation is going on to find the trigger of the fire. Holton-le-Clay cricket club said on its facebook page, “As many of you will be aware, this evening the club house suffered an unfortunate and devastating fire. Thankfully everyone in the club at the time got out unscathed and are safe. The events leading up to, and circumstances that caused the fire are as yet unknown, but fire investigators and crime scene investigators are onto it. Many thanks go to those who helped tonight, including but not limited to the incredible amount of firefighters, but also the members and staff who bravely tried everything they could to extinguish the flames before it got beyond their capabilities. We want you all to know this, we will not be beaten, we may be down, but we are most definitely NOT out! With the help of our loyal and dedicated members we will be back!
