DV Subba Rao defeated S L Narayana Rao for the post of president

D V Subba Rao and Gokaraju Ganga Raju were elected as President and General Secretary respectively of Andhra Cricket Association.

 

The election was held on July 13 but the court had stayed the declaration of the results till today. With the court’s approval, election observer BLK Reddy opened the sealed ballot box and announced the results on Thursday.

 

D V Subba Rao was elected as president, defeating S L Narayana Rao while Gokaraju Ganga Raju was elected GS, defeating Moncho Ferrer.

 

P Appala Raju was elected as treasurer, V Umamaheshwara Rao was elected secretary to South Zone, Koka Ramesh was elected secretary for Centre Zone and M Prabhakar Reddy was elected secretary to North Zone.

 

Seven members who were elected as Vice presidents: N Mohan Das, Ch Arun Kumar, DVSS Somayajuluu, CHV Ranga Raju, J Ravindranath, M V Subba Reddy and VVSRG Krishnayechendra. All the elected belonged to Ganga Raju panel.

 

Later, talking to media, Ganga Raju said that ACA would strive to construct a cricket stadium in every district. PTI COR KRK ATK
