Australian opening batsman David Warner scored his 15th century in Test cricket on Day 1 of the second of the three-match Test series aganst New Zealand at the WACA in Perth on Friday. His ton came off 118 deliveries including 12 boundaries. He also scored his third consecutive hundred in Test cricket. Currently Australia are 197 for the loss of a wicket in 42 overs with opener David Warner on 104 and Usman Khawaja on 50. Australia also finished the lunch session on 105 for the loss of a wicket, with Burns the only man to be dismissed so far in the innings as the New Zealand bowlers continue to struggle. Earlier, Australian skipper, Steven Smith won the toss and elected to bat first as he fielded the smae playing XI from the 1st Test win at The Gabba in Brisbane, while New Zealand skipper, Brendon McCullum brought in Matt Henry for Neil Wagner. Both the openers started in a positive fashion as they brought up the opening 50-run stand in just 10 overs, with Burns contributing 19, Warner contributuing 31, along with an extra. Burns had a scare in the 13th over for a leg-before, which was turned down by the upmire and also the DRS saving him. Meanwhile, Warner brought up his 20th half-century in Test cricket that came off 56 deliveries including seven boundaries.
