Hyderabad: May 10, 2012

David Warner slammed a superb ton and Naman Ojha remained unbeaten on 65, as Delhi Daredevils crushed Deccan Chargers by nine wickets in their IPL 2012 match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad.

Chasing a huge total of 188 to win, Delhi reached 193 for one from 16.4 overs.

Warner lathered as many as seven sixes and 10 boundaries to remain unbeaten on 109, which came from just 54 balls.

Ojha, who had mixed success with the bat this IPL season, chipped in with a fluent 64 off 46 balls, which included five sixes and two boundaries.

Both the Delhi batsmen remained in command after they lost skipper Virender Sehwag on the second ball of the innings, which left them at 4-1.

Warner and Naman added a record 189 runs for the second wicket.

Sehwag fell to Shikhar Dhawan, who had earliler notched up a scintillating 49-ball 84 to guide Deccan Chargers to a challenging 187 for four against Delhi Daredevils in their Indian Premier League match.

Dhawan blasted nine fours and five sixes in his innings and racked up 126 runs in 70 balls alongwith Cameron White (65) to take the home team across the 150-mark at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Openers Dhawan and Daniel Harris (19) gave Deccan a good start as the duo dealt in fours right from the start after skipper Kumar Sangakkara won the toss and elected to bat.

However, Morne Morkel struck in his second over, removing Harris as the home team slipped to 28 for one in 4.5 overs.

Looking to drive a short of length delivery, Harris ended up giving a catch to Mahela Jayawardene at short cover.

Brief Scores: DC 187 for 4 from 20 overs (Shikhar Dhawan 84, Cameron White 65; Varun Aaron 2 for 30) lost to DD 193 for 1 in 16.4 overs (David Warner 109*, Naman Ojha 65*; Shikhar Dhawan 1 for 27) by 9 wickets.
