Dinesh Karthik is the latest entrant In 50 over Dhaka Premier League (DPL) this season. This decision was only possible after BCCI allowed players to play in List-A overseas tournaments. If reports are to be believed he will be playing for Abahani Limited for whom Indian players Yusuf Pathan and Manoj Tiwary have played as well. Karthik will be joining Abahani Limited in Super League Stage as he will be making his debut in DPL against Mohammedan Sporting on June 15. Earlier Pathan performed brilliantly in DPL showcasing his hard-hitting skills. Taskin Ahmed and Tamim Iqbal are the local talent for the side who has featured in Bangladesh national side. The rules of DPL are different from that of Indian Premier League (IPL) as a team is allowed to have as many foreign players they want in the side. It is expected that more players will join DPL as BCCI has no intention of barring players from participating in List-A tournament overseas. Karthik has performed well recently playing for Gujarat Lions (GL). He has a good reputation and will be expected to perform for his new franchisee Abahani Limited.
