In the first ODI at Leicester, the Pakistan Women team suffered a big defeat by 7 wickets. Batting first, Pakistan Women could manage only 165 as they were bowled out in 45.4 overs. In their reply, England Women made a poor start but their rest of the batters did well to take them past the finish line.
Tammy Beaumont scored 70 off 75 balls, striking 11 boundaries and ended up as the top run-getter for England Women against Pakistan. Heather Knight made a fine start to her captaincy stint, hitting 5 boundaries to score 50 off 70 balls. Natalie Sciver scored a run-a-ball 27 as England Women won with 109 balls to spare.
