Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid spun a sticky web around the Australian batting line-up, which rendered them incapable of coming close to chasing down the target of 301 set to them by England in the third One-Day International (ODI) at Old Trafford. England managed a formidable target on a tricky surface, thanks to a calculated hundred by James Taylor and some big hitting by skipper Eoin Morgan. Rashid bowled his quota of 10 overs, conceding just 41 runs and took two important wickets of a dangerous-looking Aaron Finch for 53 and Australia skipper Steven Smith.
