Stand-in captain Eoin Morgan has been ruled out of England‘s second Twenty20 International against New Zealand at The Oval on Thursday, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced.
Off-spinner James Tredwell will lead the side in the former Ireland batsman’s absence after Morgan was ruled out with a right hand injury.
The ECB said the injury to Morgan, leading the team in the place of the rested Stuart Broad, was expected to be “short-term”.
