India’s tour to England has started it’s first step, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India A squad, which is going to play two matches against England Lions, and an intra squad match against the senior team. Though there have been players who have made it to the squad, some players have missed out on selection. Rajat Patidar is among those well-known names that have missed out on being selected.

Rajat Patidar had suffered an injury to his finger as he was playing for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) during their clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 3rd. This injury proved to be quite serious as hen might be ruled out of the remaining IPL 2025 season.

On top of his injury, the injury has turned out to be so serious that reports indicate he would be out of the England tour as well. On that basis, Rajat has not been named in India A squad for the England tour. Along with him, Devdutt Padikkal is also a player from RCB who was a part of Indian Test team, but is ruled out of an injury and not named in the squad.
