Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Heinrich Klaasen appreciated the franchise’s dedication and long-term vision for the tournament. He emphasized the team’s impressive showing in the last three matches of the current Indian Premier League (IPL) season and thanked the management for their continued support.
“As I said earlier, the franchise have invested a lot of money, they have been here for 12-13 years. We played brilliant cricket for the last three games, they gave us an incredible holiday and thanks to them,” Heinrich Klaasen said in the post-match presentation.
A century from Heinrich Klaasen and a half-century from Travis Head helped Sunrisesrs Hyderabad post a total of 278 on the scoreboard at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in the 68th match of the Indian Premier League 2025. This total also ranks as the third-highest score in IPL history.
Klaasen was awarded the Player of the Match for his impressive knock of 105 off 39 deliveries, which included seven fours and nine sixes.
KKR had a disappointing performance on Sunday, falling short in their attempt to chase a massive 279-run target set by Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, ultimately suffering a heavy 110-run loss.
Klaasen also shared his pride in the team’s performance, pointing out that they made the most of a strong start something they had struggled to do in earlier matches.
“It’s pride for us as well, got a lot of starts did not kick on, today I did. That’s normally the plan on this wicket, the straight boundaries are short and the other boundaries are 50 or 60 metres. I look to play straight and did not take on too many fielders, and I’m pleased for that,” Klaasen added.
