Glenn McGrath, who is the director of coaching at MRF Pace Foundation, explained how Sachin Tendulkar was always prepared to play the way he wanted. McGrath also went on to explain about South African quick Dale Steyn’s work ethic. “I have not spent a lot of time with Dale and I don’t know him well. He looks like the type of guy who has got a very good work ethic. I am sure he recovers well. Looking at his action, he has got a pretty good action. The way he loads really well, there is a lot of good things there. At the end of the day, some people are like that. Genetics play a part.” Glenn McGrath: Varun Aaron has got a huge amount of potential
“My bone density is double the average and that helped me in good stead and I remained injury-free. I worked as hard as I could off the field to get as strong as possible and recovered well. That allowed me to play longer too. A lot of it is up to the individual. A lot of guys when they play for the state, play IPL, play for India, they think they have made it. They take shortcuts and are not prepared to work hard. And they are the ones that struggle. You have got to find a happy medium there. And it is up to that individual,” he was quoted as saying by DNA. Glenn McGrath praises Virat Kohli, says aggressive cricket is about body language and intent
“Sachin Tendulkar said there is no substitute for hard work. It takes a lot of hard work to get to the top. And a lot more hard work to stay there. So, it is up to the individual that is the difference between a good player and a great player. That is why Sachin was so good he was prepared to do whatever it too. I was prepared to do whatever it took to stay at the top. So that’s what you have to do.”
