Back in 2015, AB de Villiers and wife Danielle were blessed with a son, whom they named AB Junior. Baby AB was the talk among fans for the weeks that followed. Their second boy was born in 2017 and the couple named him John Richard. Now, inspired by fellow South African Jonty Rhodes, AB wishes to name his next child Taj. Rhodes had named his daughter India, born in Mumbai, in 2015. Rhodes has been associated with Mumbai Indians (MI), the city’s IPL team, for a long time now.

As reported by Deccan Chronicle, de Villiers wants to name his third child Taj because Taj Mahal holds a special place in his life. During IPL 2012, he had arranged a trip to the marble mausoleum with his then girlfriend Danielle. They drove 212 km from Delhi to Agra. It was at front of the monument that AB had proposed her for marriage.

He ended it with: ‘You’re the one I want to live with forever. Danielle, will you marry me?’ Dainelle cried and an anxious AB waited for the answer. Of course, it was a “yes” and there began a beautiful love-filled journey.
