In order for Pakistan to stay in the line for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the team needs to beat India at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE. Following a 60-run defeat to New Zealand in the opening clash of their campaign, a loss to India will most likely knock the team out of the race to semifinal.
However, the pitch in Dubai suits the Indians more than Pakistan, which might be cause difficulty for he neighbouring nation. Cricket is a sport which depends on the on-field performance. However, if the Men in Green get a few things going well, they might hand a surprise to India.
How can Pakistan win over India?
For Pakistan to win against India, the team needs to give up their fear of losing.
This is an instance which comes up following the difference in quality as compared to India. Pakistan team also has a lack of an important skill, which has played a major role in them not being able to achieve success against India- the skill is called Composure and temperament.
Pakistan team is known to choke under pressure, causing them to let the game slip out of their hands multiple times.
Second thing is, Pakistan needs an improved strategy against India. The team showed a poor display with the bat, scoring just 22 runs in the powerplay when chasing over 300. That match showed the Pakistan batters to be going through lapse in their judgements, which should not repeat against India.
The team needs to have an aggressive approach against India and put the bowlers under pressure. If the team manages to score well at the start, they might get an upper hand over the Men in Blue in the match.
Lastly, Pakistan team will need big players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi and others who have not been in great form. This match might be a perfect clash for them to get some highly-needed motivation and perform well. If the key players manage to find their momentum, Pakistan will have a good chance of winning.
