Famous explorer Mike Horn will be a part of the South African setup for the ICC World Cup 2015. Horn is a well-known explorer who has completed some of the most challenging expeditions. In 2011, he was with the Indian team during their victorious run in the World Cup. Then in 2012, Horn also played his part in motivating the South African team before their Test series in England, which saw them clinch the No 1 spot in the rankings.

Speaking to News24, Horn said, “Being a South African, I’d like to stay close to home. Gary (Kirsten) has asked me if I would be interested in doing the Proteas campaign in Australia; the ODIs again. Yes, I agreed on being part of that. So, it is going to be quite exciting next year.”

Kirsten has called upon Horn’s expertise on his previous assignments. Now, Kirsten is a consultant with the South African team and the coach is Russell Domingo.
