ICC World T20 2014: Four bookies nabbed during New Zealand-South Africa match in Ludhiana

The Police seized 36 mobile phones and cash to the tune of Rs 35,000 in Ludhiana.

Police have arrested four bookies involved in betting over the final outcome of the ongoing ICC World T20 2014 in Bangladesh.

 

Police Commissioner Parmjit Singh Gill told mediapersons that one mini telephone exchange, 36 mobile phones and cash to the tune of Rs 35,000 has been recovered from them by a raiding party. They were operating at a house situated at Basant Colony.

They were nabbed when they were found betting for the match played between New Zealand and South Africa, he said.
