Throughout the third Test between India and England, the former suffered some unlucky run-outs. In the first innings, on-song debutant Sarfaraz Khan was caught at the wrong end after Ravindra Jadeja made the first call but subsequently declined to take a run. Shubman Gill was also ran out on Sunday after Kuldeep Yadav made a similar blunder at the striker’s end. So, when England suffered a big setback with a mix-up in only the sixth over of the innings, the Indians’ faces lit up.
Ben Duckett, eager to defend Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery, became involved in an unpleasant mix-up with opening partner Zak Crawley. Duckett played the ball to mid-wicket, but Crawley hesitated, leaving him stranded halfway down the pitch.

Crawley hurriedly urged Duckett to return; Siraj, taking the opportunity, threw the ball with accuracy, sending it wide of the stumps. In a frantic bid to save the situation, Jurel dashed towards the stumps, grabbing the ball just in time to remove the bails before Duckett could get to safety.
Jurel’s tremendous effort in rushing to the crease, receiving the ball from a difficult angle, and keeping his stance to achieve the runout was recognised by the Indian team. England lost their initial wicket due to the wicketkeeper’s quick reactions, allowing India to make a crucial breakthrough; before the Tea interval, India got up another wicket with Bumrah removing Crawley.

Jaiswal’s undefeated 214, which included 12 sixes and 14 fours, not only helped England set a challenging mark of 557, but also tied Wasim Akram’s record for the most sixes in a test innings, which he established against Zimbabwe in 1996. With England behind 18-2 in their pursuit, India increased their grip on the game, set for victory.
