Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog and live cricket updates’ post of the third day’s play of the 2nd Test between India and the West Indies at the iconic Sabina Park, Kingston. On the second day, we saw KL Rahul strike an elegant 158, which helped the visitor reach 358 for 5 at stumps on Day 2, with a lead of 162 runs. Rahul was well supported by Chesteswar Pujara and skipper Virat Kohli. West Indies, on the hand made a stronger comeback in the final session of play picking up crucial wickets. Rahul, who resumed his innings on 75, went on to achieve his third Test ton. This is Rahul’s first century against West Indies and all three of his centuries have come outside India. Both Rahul and Pujara added 57 in the morning session. Pujara fell off an unfortunate run out, making 46 runs. At the score of 310, Kohli was surprisingly dismissed by Roston Chase, after being caught by Rajendra Chandrika at silly mid-on. Ajinkya Rahane and Wriddhiman Saha, batted out until the end of day’s play, remained not-out on 42 & 17 respectively.
