As India look to win the Twenty20 International (T20I) series, the top-order tumble early in the third T20I at the Harare Sports Club. India have been brilliant throughout the series dominating the hosts so far but Zimbabwe made a good comeback winning the inaugural T20I after the whitewash in One-Day International (ODI) series. India regained their winning status in the second T20I, defeating them easily but the Zimbabwe bowlers gave India a good start in the series decider removing the top-order. The hosts left heavyweights India struggling at 27 for 3 and India will have to give a good fight to comeback. LIVE CRICKET SCORECARD: India vs Zimbabwe, 3rd T20I Match at Harare
Winning the toss, Zimbabwe skipper Graeme Cremer elected to bowl first letting India bat first for the first time in the series. Usual openers KL Rahul and Mandeep Singh opened India’s innings. Mandeep, who had scored his maiden T20I half-century in the last match, did not last long, getting out for 4. Donald Tiripano got Zimbabwe their first success as Timycen Maruma took a good catch walking back at cover.
Rahul was the next man to depart as he went for a wrong stroke failing to read a Nevile Madziva delivery. Rahul inside edged the ball to get bowled for 22 while Manish Pandey threw his wicket away in a terrible run-out the next ball, scoring nothing. Ambati Rayudu and Kedar Jadhav took the crease post India’s top-order collapse. The second T20I remained very fruitful for India as they bagged their first 10-wicket victory contrary to India’s start in the third T20I.
