The Indian selectors on Tuesday announced the 15-member squad for the ICC World Cup 2015 in Mumbai at the BCCI headquarters. The much awaited final team was made public at 3.15 pm through a press conference by BCCI secretary, Sanjay Patel.
There were quite a few rumors regarding the participation of senior-pro, Yuvraj Singh and all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja missing out due to the injury. However, there were no major changed or surprises in the squad as everything remained the same with Yuvraj unable to make it to the final 15.
Following is the BCCI press release on the whole squad selection, officially published by BCCI on their website.
“The All-India Senior Selection Committee met in Mumbai today and selected the Indian team for the Tri-series between India, Australia and England to be played in Australia.
The Indian team for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 to be played in Australia / New Zealand from February 2015 was simultaneously selected and is enclosed .
