Australia: 304/6 | Overs 49.3 overs |  Voges 76*, Faulkner 64*

Australia win by four wickets!

Bailey chips it towards long-on and gives the strike to Faulkner. Jadeja brillliantly fields at long-on and cuts down two more runs in the next ball. Faulkner had hit that ball extremely hard wide of long-on. But the next ball Faulkner seals it with a six.

64 runs from 29 balls! Faulkner had conceded 21 from the last over when India were batting and he hits thrice more than that to turn the game around. Unarguably, the Ishant Sharma over changed the complexion of the game.

Australia: 295/6 | Overs 49 |  Voges 75*, Faulkner 56*

Tight over from Ashwin, concedes just five runs. Nine needed in the last over. The last two balls are hit towards leg but straight to fielders thereby earning them just two.

Australia: 290/6 | Overs 48 |  Voges 72*, Faulkner 54*

Ishant Sharma has been clobbered. 30 runs coming from it. 4, 6, 6, 2, 6, 6

A length ball is samacked over extra-cover by Faulkner. The next ball is short of length and is smashed over mid-wicket way back into the stands. Umpires had to call for a new ball. It’s a nightmare for MS Dhoni and the bowler. The third ball is hit straight back for a six. Follows it up with a couple and one more six over mid-wicket.

Australia: 260/6 | Overs 47 |  Voges 72*, Faulkner 24*

Ashwin follows Faulkner on the second ball and denies any slogging opportunity. Voges gets a carrom ball but it is pitched short and he hits it for a boundary. The off-spinner keeps the rest of the over tight. Just eight runs in that over.

Australia: 252/6 | Overs 46 |  Voges 67*, Faulkner 23*

Faulkner tries to break free and gets a few runs. He slogs a short ball towards leg-side and runs two. Vinay Kumar delivers a short ball and the top edge flies behind MS Dhoni for a four.

Voges adds one more boundary on the penultimate ball by cutting it past point. 14 runs in that over.

52 runs needed in 24 balls.

Australia: 238/6 | Overs 45 |  Voges 62*, Faulkner 14*

Concedes two wides and couple of runs in the first two deliveries. Voges hits back to the bowler on the third delivery. The ball ricochets off Ashwin’s hands to hit the stumps. The appeal is referred to third umpire but no problem for Faulkner as he well back in his crease.

66 needed in 30 balls.

Australia: 230/6 | Overs 44 |  Voges 58*, Faulkner 12*

Faulkner connects well to launch one into the stands. However that’s the only boundary they get. Voges hit straight back on the penultimate delivery, but Bhuvneshwar Kumar does well to stop it on his follow through.

72 needed in 36 balls.

Australia: 221/6 | Overs 43 |  Voges 57*, Faulkner 4*

Singles on the first four deliveries and another run the last one. Just five from the over. Australia need boundaries to come back into the match. Tidy over from Ashwin considering the situation.

Australia: 216/6 | Overs 42 |  Voges 55*, Faulkner 1*  OUT! Haddin 24 (16) | 41.1 ovs

Bhuvneshwar Kumar comes back into the attack and strikes first ball. Haddin pulls the ball straight to Jadeja at long-on. Faulkner, the new man has to wait for three balls to get off the mark. Voges picks a couple off the penultimate ball. He backs off a bit too much on the last one and fails to connect.

88 runs needed in 48 balls.

Australia: 213/5 | Overs 41 |  Voges 53*, Haddin 24*

Ashwin still bowling round the wicket. On the third ball, Voges tries to reverse sweep it. Ishant Sharma at backward point does well to stop a certain boundary and restricts to just two. Ashwin the bowls loose delivery but Voges can’t capitalise on it.

Umpires signals a wide on the last ball, but reverses his decision. Wonder whether there has been as bad start for any umpire as Shamsuddin.

Australia: 208/5 | Overs 40 |  Voges 50*, Haddin 23*

Surprise decision from Dhoni. Gets Virat Kohli to bowl. He gives away six runs on the second ball. Pitching half-way down Haddin slaps it over mid-wicket for a six. He follows it up with consecutive boundaries. Kohli trying to angle the ball in and the batsmen take the luxury of collecting runs on the leg.

18 runs from that over.

Australia: 190/5 | Overs 39 |  Voges 50*, Haddin 5*

Fourth ODI fifty for Adam Voges. The first ball of the over spins more but Haddin tucks it away for a single. Voges gets couple each on the next two deliveries. The last two balls yield two more runs.

The required rate still not beyond reach for Australia, but the two quick wickets has taken the momentum away.

Australia: 183/5 | Overs 38 |  Voges 45*, Haddin 4*

Voges now on the attack. Virat Kohli’s good fielding saved a certain boundary. Though a single was taken on the overthrow. On the last ball of the over, Voges fetches a short ball outside off and slaps it past mid-wicket for a boundary

The momentum has completely shifted now. Maxwell was the key man who could have fuelled their scoring with big hits.

121 runs needed in 72 balls.

Australia: 174/5 | Overs 37 |  Voges 40* OUT! Bailey 43 (60) | 36.2 ovs  Maxwell 3(3) | 37 ovs

Double blow for Australia. Bailey, Maxwell Out.

The skipper is dismissed. The drinks break seems to have disturbed the concentration. Vinay Kumar keeps the ball short. It doesn’t rise as much as Bailey expected. Hits him on the back leg. Looked like a close call but it has been given out. Kumar has got a crucial breakthrough.

Kumar welcomes new man Maxwell with a series of short deliveries. On the final delivery, Maxwell attempts a non-existent run. Dhawan at mid-off had all the time in the world to throw at the stumps and he hits it.

Australia: 171/3 | Overs 36 | Bailey 43*, Voges 40*

First boundary conceded by Jadeja. Drops it short and Voges makes room to punch it through the off for a boundary. Just two more coming from the other deliveries.

Jadeja completes his spell. 10-0-31-1. That’s an extremely valuable spell looking at the situation of the match. He had tightened the noose around the batsmen throughout the 10 overs.

133 needed in 84 deliveries.

Australia: 165/3 | Overs 35 | Bailey 42*, Voges 35*

Vinay Kumar back into the attack. The first ball is hit behind point. Good fielding by Ashwin and saves two crucial runs. Kumar delivers a beautiful delivery moving away from Voges and the batsman is beaten completely.

However, he drops one short but it doesn’t have enough pace and Voges has no hesitation in pulling it for a much-needed boundary.

Australia: 158/3 | Overs 34 | Bailey 42*, Voges 28*

Batting powerplay taken by Bailey. But that doesnhelp them much in getting away from Jadeja’s accurate line. Three singles in that over. Jadeja’s faster ones pitching on stumps are proving to be tough for the batsmen to hit.

Australia: 155/3 | Overs 33 | Bailey 41*, Voges 26*

Bailey and Voges are working hard on shifting the momentum. Eight runs coming from that Ashwin over including a boundary from Voges.

Australia: 147/3 | Overs 32 | Bailey 39*, Voges 20*

While the other bowlers are giving some air, Jadeja is firing it in flat on the stumps. This time the batsmen are clever enough to work the ball around and collect singles.

157 needed in 108 balls

Australia: 143/3 | Overs 31 | Bailey 37*, Voges 18*

Jadeja’s good work has allowed Ashwin to gain some confidence from the other end. He is bowling round the wicket wide of the crease giving the ball more air. The batsmen try to cut him and Bailey finally succeeds and hits a boundary past point. 50-run partnership between Bailey and Voges.

Australia: 137/3 | Overs 30 | Bailey 32*, Voges 17*

Jadeja is reading the batsmen very well. He is bowling with good pace around 90kmph. Voges and Bailey are finding it difficult to break free. A leg-bye and a single, just two runs in that over.

167 needed in 120 balls

Australia: 135/3 | Overs 29 | Bailey 31*, Voges 17*

Finally Ravichandran Ashwin introduced into the attack. Voges plays the first ball fine on the leg-side for a single. Bailey shuffles across and gets one more through mid-wicket.

Looked like a tidy over but Bailey clears his front leg and slams it over mid-wicket for a six.

Australia: 126/3 | Overs 28 | Bailey 24*, Voges 15*

Yet another disciplined over from Jadeja. Just a single from that over.

Australia: 125/3 | Overs 27 | Bailey 24*, Voges 14*

Yuvraj gives more flight to the ball in this over. The first three balls gets Australia three singles. Voges finally shuffles back and hits through the covers for a boundary.

Not a good over from Yuvraj. The final ball is hammered wide of deep extra-cover for a four.

Australia: 113/3 | Overs 26 | Bailey 18*, Voges 8*

Bailey is creating a web around himself. He is trying to hit Jadeja standing firm but the arm ball is not allowing him space to cut and pull. He finally whips one on the leg-side for a couple. Accumulates a quick single on the next ball.

Australia: 109/3 | Overs 25 | Bailey 15*, Voges 8*

Yuvraj starts off with a wide. Two balls later Bailey hits a short ball to deep fine-leg for a couple. Could have collected a boundary on the next after a loose ball from Yuvraj doesn’t bounce much and the Bailey tries to slog sweep it.

Australia: 105/3 | Overs 24 | Bailey 13*, Voges 8*

Jadeja is quickly sliding his overs. The slower first ball is hit towards mid-wicket for a single by Adam Voges. Concedes a wide followed by a couple on the last delivery. Voges turns it towards mid-wicket and runs two.

Australia: 100/3 | Overs 23 | Bailey 12*, Voges 5*

Yuvraj Singh comes in to bowl. Gets a bit of turn but Bailey struggling to read him. The Australian skipper does hit a bad ball for a boundary. But just five from it. As overs go by the required rate is slowly creeping up.

Still no signs of Ravichandran Ashwin. Considering that he is low on confidence after the clobbering he got in last three matches, Dhoni is holding him back.

Australia: 95/3 | Overs 22 | Bailey 8*, Voges 4*

Tidy over yet again from Jadeja. Persisting with a middle and leg-stump line and pushing the faster one in to keep the batsmen guessing. Three runs coming from that over.

Australia: 92/3 | Overs 21 | Bailey 7*, Voges 2*

A length ball turned towards leg by Bailey for single. Voges tries to settle in by playing defensively before picking a single on the last ball.

The runs have dried up for Australia. The pacers have got their accuracy back and Jadeja has been on target from the start.

Australia: 90/3 | Overs 20 | Bailey 6*, Voges 1*    OUT! Watson 11 (17) | 20.1 ovs

Jadeja strikes. He angles the ball in and it doesn’t have any turn. Watson is hit on the pads and it looked like missing the leg stump, but not for Richard Kettleborough.

Australia: 88/2 | Overs 19 | Watson 11*, Bailey 5*

First two deliveries doesn’t get Baily any runs. On the third one off Ishant, he flicks it over mid-wcket for a boundary. No fielders there so the aerial shot lands just inside the fence and crosses for a four.

Nevertheless a good over from Ishant Sharma. Just the four from it.

Australia: 84/2 | Overs 18 | Watson 11*, Bailey 1*

The wicket seems to have slowed down. Ravindra Jadeja’s deliveries are stopping in front of the batsman. He mixes up his speed well too. Just two runs from that over.

Australia: 82/2 | Overs 17 | Watson 10*, Bailey 0*    OUT! Finch 38 (44) | 16.3 ovs

Ishant gets the big wicket of Finch. Pitches it on middle and the ball was moving towards leg. This time umpire Shamsuddin doesn’t take much time accepting the bowler’s ferocious appeal.

Skipper George Bailey comes in to bat. Plays out the three remaining balls comfortably.

Maiden over from Ishant.

Australia: 82/1 | Overs 16 | Finch 38*, Watson 10*

The other Kumar on target too. Bhuvneshwar keeps it straight on good length. Watson and Finch offering a straight bat. A single to long-off, followed by a run each playing towards thirdman and deep cover.

Both Kumars have restricted Australia and brought India back in the game.

It’s Drinks

Australia: 79/1 | Overs 15 | Finch 36*, Watson 9*

Vinay Kumar is getting the ball to move. Concedes three on the first three deliveries. Then drops it short but it’s called a wide. The next ball is a beauty as he pitches it up and the ball moves inwards beating Shane Watson. Dhoni is likely to persist with the Karnataka pacer looking at his rhythm.

Australia: 75/1 | Overs 14 | Finch 35*, Watson 7*

Watson gets an inside edge and collects two runs. He sees off the next two balls before launching it between deep square-leg and mid-wicket for a four.

Australia: 69/1 | Overs 13 | Finch 35*, Watson 1*   OUT! Hughes 22 (40) | 12.2 ovs

Vinay Kumar gets his due. After that Finch catch was turned down, Kumar looked frustrated, but he comes back well to remove Hughes. The left-hander tries to run the ball towards thirdman, can’t get it well on the bat and a thick edge is caught by Dhoni. Lack of fotwork also did him in.

Kumar welcomes Watson with two short balls before he gets off the mark.

Australia: 67/0 | Overs 12 | Finch 35*, Hughes 22*

Accurate bowling from Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Doesn’t give any room to Hughes to free his arms and keeps the length much fuller. Hughes tries to work the ball past point but the fielder doesn’t allow any run. Maiden over for Kumar.

Australia: 67/0 | Overs 11 | Finch 35*, Hughes 22*

Finch survives! umpire Shamsuddin is having a terrible debut. The second ball of the over, Vinay Kumar drops it short and Finch can’t connect well. The edge hits his shoulders and deflects to Virat Kohli at point. Umpire turns down the appeal. Kohli gets animated and shows his displeasure pretty clearly.

Good over from Kumar. A single followed by a couple scored off the last two deliveries.

Australia: 64/0 | Overs 10 | Finch 33*, Hughes 22*

Dhoni seems to be a bowler less looking at how Ishant Sharma is delivering. Yet again a short ball hammered by Hughes past mid-wicket. He does regain his line back and Hughes does give enough respect it deserves. With the lack of enough pace, the short ball may not be the best option unlike a Mitchell Johnson.

Australia: 60/0 | Overs 9 | Finch 33*, Hughes 18*

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is by far the most effective bowler but a breakthrough is still eluding India. On the second ball, the nick from Finch’s bat runs past second slip for a four. He picks a couple by flicking an incoming delivery. On the final ball he gets an easy gift to collect one more boundary.

Australia: 48/0 | Overs 8 | Finch 21*, Hughes 18*

Ishant Sharma struggling to get his length right. A slightly fuller one is punched by Finch off the backfoot and the ball goes for a boundary. The delivers accurately to Finch who changes ends thanks to a leg bye.

Hughes then has no hesitation in putting off a wayward delivery on the leg side for a four.

Australia: 39/0 | Overs 7 | Finch 17*, Hughes 14*

Bhuvneshwar almost got Hughes there. Loud appeal for leg-before. Umpire turns it down thinking bat-pad but replays show it was pad first. Could have been close. Still a good over conceding just four from it.

Australia: 35/0 | Overs 6 | Finch 14*, Hughes 13*

Ishant Sharma replaces Vinay Kumar. Comes over the wicket, and Hughes waits for the delivery and times it on the off-side to accumulate four more to the total. Good footwork from the left-hander. Sharma then reduces the width on offer for Hughes and cramps him for space. Hughes gets a single on the last ball, retains strike.

Australia: 29/0 | Overs 5 | Finch 13*, Hughes 8*

Incoming delivery from B Kumar, hits Finch on the pads but the appeal from Indians is turned down from Shamsuddin. Two balls later pitches it up but Finch goes through with the shot and the ball zips past mid-on towards the fence.

Not a breezy start but the Australians are securing their confidence with a boundary in the over.

Australia: 22/0 | Overs 4 | Finch 9*, Hughes 8*

Vinay Kumar coming over the wicket and pushes it outside off. Hughes has no problem in directing it on the off. On the fourth ball he hops on the backfoot and slaps it for a four.

Australia: 16/0 | Overs 3 | Finch 9*, Hughes 2*

Bhuvneshwar Kumar is slightly off-target. Gives a juicy half-volley outside off-stump as Finch hammers it past covers. Just four from it in that over.

Australia: 12/0 | Overs 2 | Finch 5*, Hughes 2*

Vinay Kumar shares the new ball with Kumar. Finds it difficult to get hold of his length. Concedes a bye and then pitches on the leg-side again and the ball further swirls down the leg giving four more leg-byes to Australia. Gets his line back in the remaining balls.

Australia: 5/0 | Overs 1 | Finch 4*, Hughes 1*

Hint of swing for Bhuvneshwar Kumar and he has used it extremely well with good line. Brings the first ball back into Phil Hughes. Even Aaron Finch has some trouble judging the ball first-up. Finch finally gets a boundary with a cut shot past backward point.

Welcome back. The Australian batsmen are back to chase the stiff target.

What an innings. He came in at 76 for four and changed the face of the game. He started off cautiously — something typical of his innings. He accumulated the runs when Kohli was on song and finally cut loose towards the end. With the tradition of scoring of 300 in this series, we still don’t know whether that’s enough.

You can read our innings report here.

India: 303/9 | Overs 50 | Dhoni 139*, I Sharma 0*   OUT! V Kumar 0*

India: 256/7 | Overs 47 | Dhoni 94*, B Kumar 10*

The Australians were relaxed after Dhoni picked a single on the first delivery off Clint McKay’s over. But Kumar is no bunny with the bat, he makes room for himself and lofts McKay’s slower delivery over the infield to long-off for a boundary. Singles coming in the next four balls. On the last ball Dhoni pulls the ball wide of long-on, however the fielder is agile on the fence and takes it on one bounce to restrict it to a single.

India: 247/7 | Overs 46 | Dhoni 92*, B Kumar 4*

Faulkner keeps his length full and wide to avoid being smashed by Dhoni. The Indian skipper manages to dig the second ball for a single. Kumar can’t get away in the remaining balls as Faulkner keeps his length accurate on the stumps.

Excellent over, just a single from it.

India: 246/7 | Overs 45 | Dhoni 91*, B Kumar 4*

Good spell from Johnson: 10-1-46-4

India: 244/7 | Overs 44 | Dhoni 90*, B Kumar 3*

Six! That’s a typical Dhoni shot. The ball pitched up and he slaughters it over long-off. Bhuvneshwar Kumar ensures that he takes the single.

On the final ball, Watson drops it short on the leg-side, Dhoni goes for it and the edge evades Brad Haddin to the boundary.

Ashwin on the penultimate delivery, shuffles across and cheekily directs the short ball fine on the leg-side for the second boundary of the over.

India: 215/6 | Overs 41 | Dhoni 71*, Ashwin 22*

First six of the match. Doherty drops the penultimate ball short and Dhoni muscles it over mid-wicket for a huge six. In the next ball, he comes down the track and lofts it over mid-wicket for a boundary.

India: 202/6 | Overs 40 | Dhoni 60*, Ashwin 20*

Faulkner comes over the wicket trying to move the ball away from the batsmen. Ashwin blocks once and fails to connect on the third ball. He collects a single past deep point for a single and India reach 200.

Meanwhile some poetic compliment for Kohli

India: 153/5 | Overs 31 | Dhoni 38*, Jadeja 2*

WIth 19 more overs to go, not much sense in attacking Doherty. The batsmen are cautious against Doherty nudging around for the singles.

India: 150/5 | Overs 30 | Dhoni 36*, Jadeja 1*  OUT! Kohli 68 (73) I 29.3 ovs

Glenn Maxwell brought into the attack strikes the big blow. Kohli is gone. The well-set batsman first made room for himself and got a boundary. The next ball he tries to delivately nudge it past point, unfortunately nicks it to Haddin.

Ravindra Jadeja is the new man in.

India: 142/4 | Overs 29 | Kohli 63*, Dhoni 34*

Doherty continues to be accurate bowling on middle and off. Kohli gets most of the strike and gives respect to the bowler with defensive strokes.

Just look back to the second ODI, how Kohli thrashed the bowlers. This time around he is slowly stitching his innings and ensuring that the team is inching towards a strong total. He has picked his singles and two’s and ensured that the strike-rate doesn’t dip.

Doherty has given away just 28 from his seven overs so far.

India: 139/4 | Overs 28 | Kohli 61*, Dhoni 33*

Watson continues. Dhoni works the ball behind square-leg for a couple. He slaps the ball to deep point and gets two more to complete the half-century partnership.

India: 98/4 | Overs 20 | Kohli 38*, Dhoni 15*

India: 94/4 | Overs 19 | Kohli 36*, Dhoni 13*

India: 92/4 | Overs 18 | Kohli 35*, Dhoni 12*

Dhoni yet again defensive on the  front foot for the first three deliveries. Offers a similar shot and looks to attempt a quick single but eventually Kohli sends him off. He struggles to get back due to the niggle in his hamstring. Follows it up with a couple through the leg-side.

James Faulkner replaces Clint Mckay. Just three runs from the over.

Xavier Doherty comes in to ball for the first time in the match.

India: 83/4 | Overs 15 | Kohli 33*, Dhoni 5*

Mitchell Johnson on a hat-trick comes wide of the crease against Kohli, but the batsman has no problem pushing it towards leg-side. Dhoni picks a boundary to the right of the point fielder. He is looking much comfortable now after an injury concern in the previous over.

Yuvraj’s last three ODIs at Mohali has yielded just three runs!

India: 77/4 | Overs 14 | Kohli 32*, Dhoni 0*

Dhoni is in pain. Kohli slaps a ball towards sweeper cover, but Dhoni twists his ankle after running the first one, refuses Kohli for the second. Umpires in the meanwhile called for drinks. No runs from the remainder of the over

India: 76/4 | Overs 13 | Kohli 31*  OUT! Raina 17(19) I 12.5 ovs and Yuvraj 0(1) I 13 ovs

Two wickets for Mitchell Johnson!

Raina seemed to be picking up on his confidence after some good strokes in the last over. Even got a boundary through mid-wicket. But Johnson does exactly what he was supposed to. Shuffles the length and bowls another short ball, this time Raina pokes at it and the Watson at first slip takes it.

Playing at his home ground, a lot was expected from Yuvraj but he can’t fend off a delivery rising from a good length; is caught by Haddin.

India: 68/2 | Overs 12 | Kohli 30*, Raina 10*

Bailey persists with McKay for sixth over on the trot. Kohli gets a single on the first ball and the focus was back on Raina. But this time the left-hander appears much more confident playing some strokes on the front foot. He finally manages to get one past covers and gets three runs.

India: 63/2 | Overs 11 | Kohli 29*, Raina 6*

Johnson comes back from the same end he started from. Kohli picks a single pushing the ball towards mid-wicket off a faster delivery. From thereon its a testing time for Raina. Australia looking to cash in on Raina’s susceptibility to short balls. Johnson varies his length and Raina looks uncomfortable but no harm done.

India: 60/2 | Overs 10 | Kohli 28*, Raina 5*

Kohli looking fabulous here. Collects four more with a well-timed boundary through the covers. Hits yet another shot on the off but the ball ricochets off the short-cover fielder and the batsmen take a single.

Five runs from that over.

India: 55/2 | Overs 9 | Kohli 23*, Raina 5*

Two more boundaries for Kohli. Watson uses the short delivery, Kohli pulls it over mid-on for a boundary. Watson strays on the legside and Kohli doesn’t miss that opportunity; glances it for a four and the takes a single.

Raina on the last ball times well and picks his first boundary. 14 runs from that over and 50 up for India.

India: 41/2 | Overs 8 | Kohli 14*, Raina 0*

McKay continues from the other end. Kohli gets a confident boundary off a cover drive. Just the four runs from it. Kohli is mixing caution with aggression. The pitch has slightly uneven bounce and going all out against may not be the best idea. Gets a boundary and goes defensive.

India: 37/2 | Overs 7 | Kohli 10*   OUT! R Sharma 11 (22)

Shane Watson replaces Mitchell Johnson. Pretty accurate bringing the ball into the batsman. Bowls a wide though. But on the last ball he gets a bit of bounce. Rohit Sharma looks extremely edgy while pulling that ball and the top edge flies behind the wicket. Aaron Finch qucikly runs behind and takes that catch.

India: 35/1 | Overs 6 | Rohit 11*, Kohli 9*

Rohit is not looking fluent. Gets one more inside edge and earns a single. McKay bowls a luring ball outside off stump and Rohit restrains himself. He follows it up with a similar delivery but this time tries to slap it. Didn’t get his timing right but food enough to clear the infield and run away to the deep point boundary.

India: 29/1 | Overs 5 | Rohit 6*, Kohli 8*

Kohli shows that he is surely in sublime form. Collects two boundaries. Johnson pitches it wide outside off and Kohli leans into the drive. The next shot was even better; Johnson tries to york Kohli, but the batsman times it beautifully between cover and point. He remains watchful in the remaining four balls.

India: 21/1 | Overs 4 | Rohit 6*, Kohli 0*

After 12 deliveries Rohit Sharma finally gets off the mark with a lucky boundary. Goes for a drive but the ball takes the inside edge and teases past Brad Haddin behind the wicket.

He cuts one past point on the last ball and gets a couple. six runs from that over.

India: 15/1 | Overs 3 | Rohit 0*, Kohli 0*

Johnson is yet again accurate with his line and length. Keeps it slightly short of good length. New man Virat Kohli is cautious. Just a leg-bye coming from that over.

India: 14/1 | Overs 2 | Rohit 0*   OUT! Dhawan 8 (6)

Dhawan beaten by Clint McKay with the ball rising from good length and the catch was comfortably taken by Brad Haddin. Umpire Shamsuddin hesitates but gives in to the appeal after seeing Dhawan walk.

Clint McKay started from the other end with a wayward delivery and concedes four leg-byes. Dhawan  collects four more in the next ball with a firm push walking forward which runs between mid-off and cover. McKay yet again slides one towards leg on the fourth ball and it was flicked by Dhawan for a boundary.

12 runs coming off it but Australia won’t mind having dismissed Dhawan.

India: 2/0 | Overs 1 | Rohit 0*, Dhawan 0*

Mitchell Johnson starts with his usual pace of 140+. Bowls a wide first-up but slowly warms with an inswinging yorker and some short-pitched bowling to test Rohit Sharma. Concedes one more wide in the second half of his over. Just two runs coming from that over.

When Johnson starts off with his incoming deliveries it does make one feel there’s lot in the pitch.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan have walked in to bat. Sharma set to take strike against Mitchell Johnson

Richard Kettleborough and C Shamsuddin are the on-field umpires for today.

Australian skipper George Bailey has won the toss and has elected to field. Both teams are unchanged. More than the fear of setting a target, Australia had the dew factor in mind at Mohali. At pitch report, Sunil Gavaskar was confident that the ball is going to skid a bit and of course the dew factor making the ball difficult to grip.

Not to forget, we are yet to see a Yuvraj Singh show in the ODI series. Perhaps a good time for him to shine on home ground.

India: Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni (c & wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, R Vinay Kumar, Ishant Sharma.
Australia: Aaron Finch, Phil Hughes, Shane Watson, George Bailey (c), Glenn Maxwell, Brad Haddin (wk), James Faulkner, Mitchell Johnson, Clint McKay, Xavier Doherty
