5th ODI: India bat, MS Dhoni and Mohammed Shami return

India‘s stand-in captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat on a Wesptac Stadium track he feels has a bit of juice in it, with the target being 300 to beat New Zealand in the fifth and final ODI in Wellington. (LIVE UPDATES: INDIA vs NEW ZEALAND, 5th ODI)

After a “humiliating loss” in the last game, said Rohit, India want to end the series on a dominant note. To do that, they made three changes: MS Dhoni returned for Dinesh Karthik, Mohammed Shami was brought back for Khaleel Ahmed and Kuldeep Yadav was rested for Vijay Shankar.

New Zealand were forced to make one change. Will Martin Guptill out with a stiff back, Colin Munro was included as opener.
