Sharma, who is standing in as captain while Virat Kohli is rested, reached his half-century off 28 balls, smashing four sixes and three fours.He got out on 50 but during the innings he also become the first Indian player to hit 100 T20Is sixes.
The 31-year-old made his T20 debut against England in 2007 and has played 92 matches, averaging 33.15.
