Reports of large betting rackets across Belagavi and Hubballi-Dharwad are doing rounds for quiet a long time now. What comes more as a shock is that one of the investigations revealed probable link ups between the police and the betting rackets.
The India vs Pakistan match proved to be another nail-biting one. The Indian bowlers utilised all the pitch had to offer and bowled out the Pakistan team for 83, making it an easy chase for the batting heavy India side. However, the Indian batsmen faced many challenges coming out to bat in the second innings as Mohammad Aamer displayed a terrific spell of bowling including some unplayable deliveries and scalped quick wickets. Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh played sensible cricket taking India to their much-wanted victory while skipper MS Dhoni ended it for their opponents with a boundary. Virat Kohli was handed the Man of the Match for his 49. With the win, India remain unbeaten in the tournament so far and will face Sri Lanka in their next fixture.
