An unbroken 95-run fourth wicket partnership between Cheteshwar Pujara and Harpreet Singh helped Indian Oil defeat Indian Cements by seven wickets in the 8th All-India Dr D Y Patil T20 Cricket tournament in neighbouring Navi Mumbai on Thursday.

Chasing a modest target of 126, IOC were in trouble at 35 for 3, before Pujara and Singh saw them home with some sensible and brisk batting with 14 balls to spare.

Pujara hit two sixes and four fours in his unbeaten knock of 48, while Singh hit one six and five boundaries in his knock of 47 from 34 deliveries.

In another low scoring encounter, Air India defeated MRF by six runs to record their second win on the trot.

Batting first, Air India were bundled out for 125, Manpreet Juneja grabbing 4 for 21 to restrict the fancied batting side.

However, the MRF batsmen fared even worse, folding up for 119 from 19.1 over, with only Juneja standing tall with 50 runs. (PTI)
