Despite a star-studded line-up, Virat Kohli-led Bangalore have been perennial underachievers in the Indian T20 League. They were dismal last season after having finished at the sixth spot losing eight of their 14 matches. Kohli too went on to state that his side don’t deserve to win. “We need to be hard on ourselves and be braver with the ball and in the field. We need to correct those things going forward. We didn’t deserve to win,” he had said.

This time, Bangalore have been injected with fresh coaching staff. Former India’s 2011 World Cup-winning coach Gary Kirsten is at the helm of affairs with Ashish Nehra as the bowling coach.  (ALSO READ: AB de Villiers lists five reasons why Bangalore are primed to deliver in this season’s Indian T20 league)
