One would have thought the return of Virender Sehwag would have ended the Delhi Daredevils opening wicket partnership rut in the ongoing sixth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), but explosive Australian opener David Warner fell in the very first over against Sunrisers Hyderabad Friday and the hosts’ woes continued.
Sehwag returned to action against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Feroze Shah Kotla here Friday after back spasms kept the dashing batsman out of all the previous three games.
The Daredevils have lost all their matches to date in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League with the opening duo of Warner and Unmukt Chand returning with partnerships of 0, 39 and 0.
Warner has been the pick of the Delhi batsman in this edition scoring 159 runs so far but, this time around, fell tamely for naught, lobbing a simple catch to Anand Rajan off the bowling of Dale Steyn.
