Kolkata Knight Riders Captain Gautam Gambhir was playing in his 200th T20 match tonight. Gambhir who has lead KKR to two IPL trophy wins in the past is leading his side in the 13th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) against Kings XI Punjab. Gambhir has been in impressive form over the last few matches and his batting has even earned him the Orange Cap for the moment. He has scored 192 runs in 3 matches for KKR. He has looked aggressive and solid at the start of the innings alongside Robin Uthappa. Gambhir scored 38* in the first match against Delhi Daredevils. He followed it up with 64 off 52 balls against Mumbai Indians and then Gambhir batted brilliantly against Sunrisers Hyderabad to get 90 off 60 balls, taking his side home in the process. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and opted to bowl against Kings XI Punjab in the 13th match of the IPL Season 9. The match is being played at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali. KKR are placed at second on the points table having lost only 1 match of 3. KXIP however didn’t have a good start to the tournament as they lost their first two matches.
