IPL 2016: Mumbai Indians collaborates with fashion brand Diesel

Fashion brand Diesel on Wednesday announced that they will produce a limited edition capsule collection for Mumbai Indians, the defending champions of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The first assortment is expected to launch in fall 2016, followed by a second release in the spring of 2017. “It’s a momentous step for Mumbai Indians to be recognised as the most preferred global brand partner, becoming the first sports club from India to expand its footprint globally. We are very excited with this opportunity to reach out to our die-hard global fans in the cricket playing nations with the exclusive Mumbai Indians-Diesel collection,” said Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani. Diesel will produce an exclusive line of off-the-field MI merchandise comprising both, tops and bottom-wear. The collection will be available globally across popular cricket playing nations like Australia, England, South Africa among others through the Diesel footprint. In India, all 11 stores of Diesel in Mumbai, New Delhi, Gurgaon, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune and Chennai will stock the exclusive collection. “The religion of cricket in India and internationally amazes me. The opportunity here is sky high and I am truly excited,” Diesel founder Renzo Rosso said. IPL will inaugurate with first match between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants in the first match on April 9 at Mumbai.
