Indian cricket’s original Little Master, Sunil Gavaskar, feels former champions Kolkata will clearly miss their impact player Andre Russell, who had a hamstring injury as he fell down in his follow through. He cautioned Russell to do something about it soon as it’s not the first time he has fallen down after delivering the ball and it could well be a problem for him in the future. Gavaskar stated that it was needless from the KKR camp to change their batting order in their last game and hence paid the price for it but will like to win in front of their home ground today to reach the playoffs. According to the Times of India, Mumbai, the former Indian captain praised the competitiveness in this year’s IPL as he stated, ”The last game of the league stage will decide who among the Delhi and Bangalore teams will get to be in the playoffs. This is the best advertisement for the competitiveness of the tournament and shows how team’s fortunes have swung this way and then the other.”

He was all praise for the change in fortunes of Royal Challengers Bangalore and complimented the skipper in particular. He added, “The Bangalore team is on a roll and even a rare duck by AB de Villars is not stopping them, thanks to skipper Virat Kohli’s superb batting. With Chris Gayle also striking the ball well and Rahul chipping in down the order, they must be a frightening team to bowl to.” He expects Zaheer Khan to bring all his experience into play to contain the stroke-players from the RCB camp. He also believes DD will be high on confidence with their last ball win over table toppers Hyderabad.
