With the battle for the top four in full swing, Rohit Sharma‘s Mumbai Indians (MI) is all set to take on Virat Kohli’s struggling Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). The match 38 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 will take place at Mumbai’s fortress, Wankhede Stadium. The live cricket streaming of the match will be available on Hotstar. Also, the live telecast of the match will be available on Sony Six and Sony Six HD, along with Hindi, Bengali, Tamil and Telugu commentary on Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD, while SET MAX will telecast exclusively in Hindi. In the earlier encounter between these two sides, Kohli’s men were on top after posting a modest total on board. Riding on their skipper’s half-century and Samuel Badree’s hattrick, RCB had MI on the mat in chase of 143. MI were 7 for 4, but a match-winning innings from Kieron Pollard and valuable contribution from Krunal Pandya sealed the deal for the visitors at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. RCB have fallen off the cliff in a lot of games thereafter in IPL 10 and have only themselves to blame for languishing at the seventh spot.
On the other hand, MI have been in supreme form. They won nail biters against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), RCB and also played out a thrilling tie versus Gujarat Lions (GL) to outfox them in the Super Over. The head-to-head record also favours MI (12-8) whereas the overall record at Wankhede is interestingly poised at 4-4.
