Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had a forgetful Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017. The last year’s runner-up finished at the bottom of the IPL 2017 points table managing to win just three games out of fourteen. In spite of having all their players like Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers, Tymal Mills, Kedar Jadhav, Shane Watson and even skipper Virat Kohli who missed out on the few initial games, RCB failed to click at the crucial juncture in the tournament eventually ended up at the bottom of the table with just 7 points. But despite this, the Kohli-led side did not see any decrease in their fan following as all the venues of their games witnessed a jam-packed stadium.
As the team failed to qualify for the playoffs, Kohli uploaded a video through his Twitter profile thanking the RCB fans for their countless love and support. “Really humbled by all the love and support that we got this season. We will come back stronger next season,” wrote Kohli along with a video wherein he has explicitly spoken about how humble he and the entire RCB team have been for their fans and followers for the endless and support.
