Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live coverage of the IPL 2018 Auction. It’s the much-awaited second day of the mega auction. I am Suvajit Mustafi and will bring you interesting tweets and live updates from the auction.
Wasn’t it an action-packed Day One? I mean, for Indian cricket in general. First, the marathon auction that went for eight hours and then the Indian victory at the ‘extremely tough’ Wanderers pitch that was mainly architected by the bowlers.
Coming back to the IPL 2018 Auction, as predicted, Ben Stokes returns a rich man, fetching a whopping INR 12.5 crore (the highest for the day) from Rajasthan Royals (RR). From Indian players’ perspective, Karnataka stars KL Rahul and Manish Pandey fetched the highest bids of INR 11 crore, from Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) respectively.
