IPL 7 Auction: Gurkeerat Singh sold to Kings XI Punjab for Rs 1.3 crores

The young Punjab batsman was priced at Rs 20 lakhs originally.

Gurkeerat Singh Mann, the young Punjab batsman has gone for a whopping Rs 1.3 crores to Kings XI Punjab during the IPL 7 Auction. Being a part of the domestic uncapped players, Mann’s base price was Rs 20 lakhs.

The bidding war started with Mumbai Indians expressing their initial interest. Later, Punjab came into the fray and kept raising the bat. With Mumbai out, they found some stiff competition in Rajasthan Royals. Once they were out, Kolkata Knight Riders came into the fray as he the price had soared over Rs 1 crore.

Ultimately, Punjab got him for the price. In the morning session of the auction, it was the first bid to cross Rs 1 crore.
