Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) will be one of the teams who will look forward to make amends in IPL Auction 2017 for the dismal last season. With MS Dhoni at helm, they had all the ammunitions in place to succeed but off-form of key players and losing many of their stars due to injury ensured they lingered at the last spot in majority of the tournament. Also, the fading chemistry between Dhoni and Ravichandran Ashwin did not help the cause. However, Dhoni won’t be leading the side this season, and instead Australia’s Steven Smith was appointed as the skipper of the side on Sunday, which makes things interesting for RPS this season.
