Indian spinner Karn Sharma was roped in by former record champions Mumbai Indians (MI) for a good price of INR 4.2 crores, during the IPL Auction 2017 at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Bengaluru on Monday. The spinner has just played a T20I match for India, where he claimed just a wicket, while he has played 99 T20 games, and has 81 wickets in his bag. He had earlier represented the powerhouse IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and later went on to represent the defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), as he aims to start a new and good chapter with MI. Two-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI) might not have had the best of the season in 2016 as they finished fifth, but they retained as many as 20 players from their squad ahead of IPL 2017 on December 19.
