New Delhi: The players’ mini-auction for IPL 2023 will take place in Kochi on Friday, December 23. As many as 405 players will go under the hammer to fill the remaining 87 spots in 10 franchises. Traditionally, in the IPL, teams tend to invest more in all-rounders, and this year, many high-profile all-rounders are set to take part in the auction. Here’s a list of 10 multidimensional players who are likely to attract big bucks:

BEN STOKES: England Test captain Ben Stokes is a proven winner and has made a name for himself in the IPL as well. After missing the 2022 season, he is back and is set to feature in the 2023 edition. The 31-year-old cricketer is likely to attract the biggest bid.

CAMERON GREEN: Star Australian cricketer Cameron Green will play in the IPL for the first time in 2023. He has enrolled himself in the mini auction, and he is likely to get picked for the big sum.

SAM CURRAN: England all-rounder Sam Curran has played for PBKS and CSK in the IPL in the past. He missed the 2022 season, but after his superb show in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, where he won the Player of the Tournament award, Curran is likely to attract a Rs 10 crore or more bid.

JASON HOLDER: Holder, the former West Indies Test captain, was released by the Lucknow Super Giants despite his excellent performance. He won’t be short of suitors in the mini auction.

SIKANDAR RAZA: Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza has never featured in the IPL to date, but this time he is likely to get picked for big bucks.

SHAKIB AL HASAN: Star Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan will also go under the hammer. He has previously represented KKR and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the cash-rich league.

MOHAMMAD NABI: Former Afghanistan captain Mohammad Nabi is a IPL veteran and has played for SRH and KKR in the past. In 17 matches, he has scored 180 runs and picked up 13 wickets.

DARYL MITCHELL: Kiwi all-rounder Daryl Mitchell made his IPL debut in 2022 and was part of the Rajasthan Royals setup. In two matches, he scored 33 runs.

JIMMY NEESHAM: Kiwi cricketer Jimmy Neesham was part of the Rajasthan Royals team in the IPL 2022. He has also played for the Mumbai Indians and PBKS in the past.
