Boult was bought for Rs 3.8 crore (over USD 800,000) by Sunrisers Hyderabad at the players’ auction held on Monday in Bengaluru.

“It was a pretty unique experience, something I felt I had no control over. I put my name into the auction a couple of months ago and then you just let it happen,” Boult told reporters. The guys were pretty elated for me and it was pretty special to share it with a couple of mates because it really is a once in a lifetime thing but the focus is still on the Cricket World Cup,” he asserted.IPL 2015 Auction: Full list of players unsold for IPL 8

Boult stood out with figures of 2/21 in six overs in New Zealand’s three-wicket win over Scotland today and speaking about the match, the pacer said he never expected the proceedings to become so tense.

“It got a little bit scarier than we would have wanted it to. When I’m rushing around the changing room trying to chuck the pads on it means we might be in a little bit of trouble.IPL 2015 Player Auction Updates

But we got there in the end and got the points and got the job done,” Boult said.
