IPL franchises against the idea of moving 2014 edition of tournament outside India

The Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council members and officials of various franchises had a discussion over the venue of next year’s IPL and according to a report they expressed displeasure over the idea of moving the tournament outside India.

 

According to a report in Times of India, almost all IPL officials and team representatives are against the idea of taking the tournament outside India.

 

The idea of moving the tournament outside the country for its seventh edition was brought up after the dates of the 2014 general elections were released.

 

Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore have already expressed their concerns over moving the tournament outside the country.
