Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) batter Rinku Singh believes that the Indian Premier League (IPL) has reached a stage where a team reaching 300 runs in an innings is not going to be a surprise. The hype and countdown to the IPL 2025 was filled with talk around teams possibly scoring above 300 in an innings in this edition.

During a recent chat with JioHotstar, Rinku Singh spoke about the possibility of the team reaching the 300-run mark, surpassing the successful chases as proof about how the game has improved.

Yes, we can do it. IPL has reached a stage where even 300 is possible; last year, Punjab chased a total of 262 runs. All teams are strong this season – anyone can get to 300,” the big-hitting Rinku said.

After the team crossed the 250-run mark three times during their campaign as runners-up last year, Sunrisers Hyderabad came ever so close to reach 300 runs in their opening match this season.

Even though they came ever so close to scoring 300, they could only post 286/7 on the board- which was one run short than their own personal record of 287/3 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). Their personal best score of 287 runs is also the highest record total in history of IPL.
