Ireland and Namibia are coming off defeat as they clash for Match 7 of Desert T20 2017 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. Ireland lost their first match against Afghanistan by 5 wickets. They managed to put up just 125 runs on board. Ireland’s opening batsman Paul Stirling and Gary Wilson were the only talking points amidst the Ireland batting unit. As for the bowlers, Jacob Mulder took two wickets along with Andy McBrine, George Dockrell picking one each. As for Namibia, it was combined batting effort that took their side beyond 150-run mark with help of Jean-Pierre Kotze and captain Sarel Burger last minute run-fest but they could not defend it against hosts UAE.
The live cricket telecast of the match will be available on Sky Sports and the live streaming is available on skysports.com. Despite an all-round effort by both the teams in their first match, it all zeroed down to a losing cause. Namibia, who have no T20I status till now and Ireland who had a topsy-turvy year in T20Is last year, will hope to better their chances in the ongoing tournament.
