After an exciting finish to the match between Ireland and United Arab Emirates (UAE), which Ireland won by two wickets and four deliveries to spare #IREvsUAE is still trending on Twitter. The win takes Ireland into third spot, just behind West Indies on net run rate. UAE got off to a good start but lost their way in the middle. A century by Shaiman Anwar and a 107-run stand between him and Ahmed Javed (42) ensured that UAE finished with 278 for nine in their 50 overs. In reply, Ireland got off to a somewhat shaky start, but a 69-ball 80 by wicket keeper Gary Wilson and a 25-ball 50 from Kevin O’Brein ensured that Ireland got home, but not before UAE put on a good fight.
