All-rounder Irfan Pathan replaced pacer Umesh Yadav in India’s squad for the remaining two One-Day Internationals against the West Indies.
India lead the five-match series 2-1 having won the first two ODIs convincingly.
Irfan is the leading wicket-taker in this Ranji season, and has also taken three consecutive five-wicket hauls.
The selectors retained the rest of the squad from the first three ODIs, giving complete rest to Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar.
According to reports, Umesh is expected to leave for Australia on December 8 along with Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, Ishant Sharma, Pragyan Ojha and Wriddhiman Saha.
