Jacques Kallis has overtaken Rahul Dravid into third place in the all-time list for the highest run-scorers in Test cricket. Kallis achieved the feat on December 29, 2013 in the second Test against India at Durban. Kallis is playing 166th Test and had 13,174 runs entering the match. India legend Dravid played 164 Test matches and scored 13,288 runs. Kallis also achieved the feat of scoring a century in his final Test. He was dismissed soon after by Ravindra Jadeja for 115.
The South African legend overtook Dravid with a single down to thirdman in the first innings on Day Four of the second Test. The list is headed by Sachin Tendulkar who scored 15,921 runs in 200 Tests. Australia’s Ricky Ponting is second with 13,378 runs in 168 Test matches. West Indies legend Brian Lara is fifth with 11,953 runs in 131 Tests.
