Titans batsman Jacques Rudolph and Warriors bowler Basheeru-Deen Walters starred Friday on the second day of a South African Series second round match.
Rudolph, who helped South Africa to a recent 2-0 series win over England and top place on the Test rankings, top scored with 94 as Titans made 216 to trail by 60 runs after the first innings in coastal city Port Elizabeth.
He faced 143 balls in a 210-minute stand at Saint George’s Park and struck 14 fours before being caught at point by Colin Ingram off the bowling of Walters, who claimed five wickets in 12.4 overs.
Warriors reached 105-0 by the close thanks to Michael Price (53 not out) and captain Davy Jacobs (44) for an overall lead of 165 runs after making 276 in the first innings.
The Lions reached 81-1 by stumps in their second innings at the Wanderers to gain an 83-run advantage over Dolphins, who were all out for 263 with opener Imraan Khan (87) top scoring and Chris Morris (4-57) taking the bowling honours.
A waterlogged Boland Park pitch in Paarl prevented any play for the second consecutive day between the Cobras, who crushed the Lions by 10 wickets last weekend, and the Knights.(AFP)
