Youngsters with cricket aspirations are attending trials in Srinagar in their quest for playing in the Jammu and Kashmir Corpoate Premier League. One of the organisers of the league, Farooq Amin said ten teams would take part in the competition.
“The main aim of this league is to give a chance to the local youngsters to explore their talent so that they can come forward at national and international level,” said Amin. Over 2000 young cricketers across the valley showed up for the trials for the competition in Srinagar, which is being held for the first time in the region.
Farrok, a player said the league would give them an opportunity to showcase their talent. “It has been said that today around 160 players are there. The players of Ranji Trophy are already selected; here the local players and players from clubs and universities will go through trials,” said Farrok.
