Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh suggested that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) should keep their ego aside and should accept a hybrid model for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. The eight-team ICC tournament is currently going to be played in three venues namely Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi from February 9 to March 9.
The fate of the tournament, however, is hanging in the balance as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has made it clear that India will not be travelling across the border due to security concerns.
Speaking to PTI, Harbhajan Singh said, “Ask all players, they would say they are ready to play in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. In any case, we don’t see too many Indo-Pak games as such, and Pakistan should keep their ego aside and agree to the hybrid model.”
“There is a security concern (for India) and I have been saying this since 2022,” he added.

If the hybrid model is accepted for the Champions Trophy, then India will be playing their matches in Dubai. After the BCCI denied the invitation to come and play the tournament, the PCB requested the ICC for the reason behind India not coming to Pakistan.
