Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag’s son had nothing but praise for son Aaryavir who played a magnificent knock of 297 runs in the Cooch Behar Trophy for his state side Delhi against Meghalaya.
Aaryavir was dismissed after scoring a mammoth 297 runs off just 309 deliveries. The innings included an outrageous 51 boundaries and 3 sixes. However, Sehwag’s son ended up missing out on a Ferrari by 23 runs.
For context, Sehwag senior had promised his son a Ferrari if he could break his record of 319 runs in a test match innings, however Aaryavir ended up falling short by a very small margin.

Back in 2015, Sehwag, in a chat with cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle, said that he had promised his sons a Ferrari if they beat his highest score of 319.
“Yes, my kids know I have made some humongous scores in Test cricket. So I have told them, if you cross that 319-run mark even in school cricket, I will present you a Ferrari,“ Sehwag told Harsha Bhogle in 2015.
