Ireland batsman Kevin O’Brienn has been fined 30 percent of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of ICC Code of Conduct during his side’s encounter with United Arab Emirates (UAE) at Brisbane, which Ireland win by two wickets. O’Brien was found guilty of breaching Article 2.1.3 of ICC Code of Conduct for players and player support personnel, which basically pertains to “Showing dissent at an Umpire’s decision during an International Match”. The incident occurred on the first ball of the 48th over when O’Brein bowled a wide delivery, which he didn’t think it was and he kept questioning the umpire’s decision until the next delivery. O’Brien accepted his offence and accepted his punishment imposed on him by match referee Ranjan Madugalle, which implies that there won’t be any formal hearing in this regar, according to an ICC media release. ICC CricketWorld Cup 2015: POINTS TABLE
