England superstar Kevin Pietersen created a stir after dropping Lord’s from his top 10 cricket grounds list which he posted on social media website Twitter. During a Q&A session with his followers, KP was asked about his favorite grounds. But surprisingly, the Englishman left out the Lord’s, which is considered as the ‘home of cricket’. Pietersen, who is currently nursing a calf injury which he suffered during IPL 2016, has no game time till November. He is no longer considered for the selection in England colors after his much publicized altercations with the board and his teammates alike. Pietersen was last seen representing Rising Pune Supergiants in IPL 2016. His campaign though was short lived, as a torn calf ruled him out for the remainder of the tournament. By then, he had featured in 4 matches for his new team, scoring 73 runs.

He will next be seen playing in South Africa’s domestic T20 competition, after which he will represent Melbourne Stars in BBL 2016. The South African born Englishman had represented his national team in 104 Test’s and 136 ODI’s.

KP was a key part of the English team which won the 2005 Ashes 2-1 over Australia. He is also known for his unique style of batting, and is credited for the invention of ‘switch hit’ in the game. His international career came to a halt after his relationship soard with the ECB and team mates.
